United Nations security Council
(UNSC)
Responsible for maintaining international peace and security, the United Nations Security Council is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations. The UNSC has 5 permanent members and 10 rotational members. This council is empowered with establishing peacekeeping operations, imposing sanctions and authorizing use of force to maintain and restore international peace and security. The decisions of the Security Council are binding on all member states.
